May, June, July.... Oh my!!

Wow! Time has flown by this summer!! The 4th of July has come and gone and it still feels like May to me! Time has gotten away from me and so have my workouts. I get home from work and I am so exhausted! So needless to say I havent taken many walks or done many workouts.... :( Major Fail! But Im trying....  Thats gotta be worth something! :)

Another reason time has flown by is that we have sooo much going on all the time!! Our summer is filled up pretty much right into the fall! To give you all the 4-11 here is what has been taking up our time these last couple of months:
Well as you all know we are pregnant so we have had Dr appointments etc for that. We also sold my car after having it listed for only 3 days on Craigs List and we even made money on it! (woop woop!!) We have had plans every weekend with friends or family. (this is a good thing.... it just makes time fly by) Also, we are looking for another vehicle for me... something more family friendly.... and it has proven difficult and we have been at the dealership alot! But FINALLY last week we found one! A 2008 Ford Taurus AWD, and I LOVE it!!! :D I told Paul the Grand Prix was "me" but the Taurus is just the "big girl me." Here is a pic! Isnt it snazzy!? :D

As for the pregnancy and all that jazz.... I feel more ginormous every day.... People who dont know Im pregnant cant really tell, but those who do know think I am really showing. I can tell you right now that I am round enough that nothing fits… and what is more frustrating than that in the middle of summer?! Nothing! But I make do… thankfully I usually wear loose or stretchy materials etc that allow a little extra plumpness!

As for movement I haven’t really felt anything. Paul shined a flashlight at my belly the other day (we read somewhere that the baby will cover its eyes and sometimes move if there is a bright light) and we got nothing! My stomach is harder now which makes me think that the kid is already running out of room…. :( Stretch marks here I come! Gotta love it! :) And to add to it I am finally starting the dreaded weight gain…. :( The pudge fest has kicked off!!

I have been a really bad pregnant lady… I don’t do well with restrictions and well…. There are a butt-load of them when you are pregnant!! For example they told me absolutely no diet coke because there is no need for me to have it and the aspartame and caffeine are no good for the kid. Well…. I started out really well and now I am wayyyyy above the recommended dose of both. As a result of this I dont drink enough water which is super not good as well!! :( Also, they want you to munch on veggies and healthy crap…. What is the deal with that…. Im getting rounder regardless of what I eat and who likes veggies anyway!! :) I have been eating a lot of fruit tho and that’s good even though they would tell me there is too many sugars etc. But hey that’s healthier than I ever was before….  One thing that I refuse to buy into is the whole “your pregnant, you can eat whatever you want.” If I buy into that philosophy I will be a two ton Tessy and you’ll have to be rollin’ me out of the hospital after that kid is born.  Also, as I said before, I have not been working out as much as I would or the dr would like. I need to get my butt in gear I guess.  I also have been eating a lot of candy with red 40 in it…. Another no-no but its not my fault that all the good candy is red and chock full of harmful little red chemicals!:) Paul said our kid is gonna get C’s and D’s on their report card cause Im being so naughty with my food and beverage choices….. I told him if they did it was because it is his child (not a valid argument because he did graduate with honors from college-but that’s beside the point! :)

We find out the gender on Aug. 2nd we are totally excited and can hardly wait! We have the appointment in the morning and we took the rest of the day off and we are going downstate to have a reveal party. You may think its cheesy but I think its fun! :) We are having both of our families get together and we will have a generic white frosted cake with the inside tinted either pink or blue. When we cut the cake…. Everyone will know all at once what the gender is! How fun is that!? :D I cant wait!

Also, I am so worried that Im going to be a bad mother… I am a planner and so far I have not done anything…. My pregnancy planner still lies as bare as the day I got it! :( Also, Paul asked if I had any dreams about animals because he read that it signifies something about motherhood. I told him about the only animal dream I can remember and that was when I found a ginormous rat and I was trying to kill it by breaking its neck and no one would help me. I finally thought I snapped its neck and I threw it on the ground but it was still alive….. craziness!! And Pauls said if you dream things like that you have negativity and insecurities about having a child…. Great!! And the other night I dreamed I was in labor and scared to death….
On a lighter note.... Heres proof that I am large and in charge! :)

Anyway…. I am off to make the puppy chow I am craving! So until next time…. Adios!!
